Boracay 2012 Expenses

These are my expenses for my 2012 Summer Boracay trip. Note that the cost of the hotel that we stayed in has a discount and it is divided by 5 pax. The food and drinks are significantly low because everyday we ate free brunch c/o the hotel (carbo loading!!! para tipid haha) and drinks are sometimes divided by the whole group or free treat from a friend hihi ;)

They say it's so expensive to go to Boracay during its highest peak season, true! But, you can always control your expenses based on the activities you plan to do there and as I always say, wait for a hotel and airfare promo because it can significantly cut your expenses.

BTW, going to Boracay via Kalibo is most of the time cheaper than Caticlan but the Kalibo route may be a hassle to some since you need to travel for an additional 2 hours before you get to Boracay Island proper. But for me, if you have the luxury of time, then the Kalibo route is recommended just because it's cheaper :)

  1. Where did you stay here? Is that rate you gave per night?

    1. We stayed in Boracay Regency and the amount I wrote here is the total amount for 4D 3N already but we shared the total cost to 5 people. We also had a big discount for the room that's why the amount is a good deal na :)

    1. My friend booked our hotel at the Boracay Regency. She knows a friend from the hotel who gave us discounts for our room hence, we got a relatively cheap accommodation.

  4. You can actually get it on a lower cost, but still I can say 11k expense is enough on a budget. There are lot of promos out there, online. Take advantage of it! :)

  6. Hmmm, if you include water sports/activities the P11k would still shoot up to about P18-20K. But still cheaper than our 5D4N El Nido expenses, P23K/pax, staying at Marina Garden townside room, via Puerto Princesa.

We were looking into Boracay as one of our destinations this summer break. Do you think late July/early August is an okay time to visit? Can you recommend restaurants? Thank you!
